A telecom service, not a black box

Between your screen and the recipient’s machine, FaxTelecom handles conversion, dialling and retries. You watch the status change every five seconds. If you need proof, two PDF receipts are available as an option, charged only if the fax gets through.

Four steps from your PDF to the fax machine

  1. 1

    Upload the file

A single PDF, 100 MB or less. One page: free. Longer documents: a flat €3.99 incl. VAT, however many pages.

  2. 2

    Choose the destination

Select the country, then type the fax number in national format, the way you would dial it locally.

  3. 3

    Validate by email

Click the link we send you, then let the countdown of about 55 seconds run. You can still cancel at this point.

  4. 4

    Watch it go

The status updates live. To keep a record, add the PDF receipts (€2.99 incl. VAT, billed solely on successful delivery).

What FaxTelecom does for you

The rigour of a carrier, the ease of a web page.

Typical use cases

  • The local pharmacy still requires prescriptions by fax. Between home visits, she uploads the scanned PDF from her tablet and tracks the fax status online.

    Community nurse

  • A supplier in Porto only works by fax. Instead of going to a print shop, he sends purchase orders straight from the office.

    Small business owner

  • Since switching to fibre, the charity no longer has a landline. For an urgent filing with the local authority, she sends the document online, with nothing to install.

Common questions

How much does FaxTelecom charge to send a fax?
Nothing for one page: a single-page fax goes out free, and you can send as many of them as you like. From the second page on, the price is flat: €3.99 including VAT per send, whether the document runs to 2 pages or 40. PDF receipts are optional (€2.99 incl. VAT), and your pages never carry advertising.
Is registration required to use FaxTelecom?
Not at all. There is no account to open and no password to remember. The form only wants your name and an email address; that inbox gets the confirmation link and then the tracking. One page goes free; a card is only requested for a document longer than one page (€3.99 VAT included) or for the receipts option.
No fax machine at hand: how do I fax from my computer?
Open FaxTelecom in your browser, fill in the form (sender, recipient, subject, cover page message), attach your PDF and submit. A confirmation link arrives by email; one click and a countdown of about a minute later, FaxTelecom dials the number for you. No machine, no line, no software.
Can I send a fax straight from my mailbox?
No: FaxTelecom does not work through a drop-off email address. The fax is prepared in your browser, with the form and your PDF. Email comes in afterwards: that is where you receive the link that confirms the send and, if you chose the option, your PDF receipts.
Which countries can FaxTelecom send faxes to?
Seven countries are served: Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Only landline fax numbers in those countries are accepted; you pick the country in the form, then type the number in its local format.
What format does a foreign fax number take?
Pick the recipient’s country, then type the number in its local form, leaving out the + or 00 prefix and the country code: FaxTelecom dials the international prefix itself. Seven countries are served: Canada, plus Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
How quickly does my fax go out?
Once the request is confirmed and the short countdown has run, the fax is normally delivered within one to two minutes. When many faxes are queued at the same moment, allow a few extra minutes; the tracking page keeps you posted at every step.
Why hasn’t my fax gone out yet?
Usually, yes. A confirmed fax joins a transmission queue and generally leaves within one to two minutes, sometimes longer at busy times. Keep the tracking page open: it updates by itself. Do not resend the same document while no failure is shown, or the recipient will get it twice.
Can FaxTelecom give me a number to receive faxes?
No. FaxTelecom is built for sending: it assigns no number and takes in no faxes. To receive, you need a fax number in your own name, plugged into a fax machine or handed to a service that turns incoming faxes into emails, usually on a subscription.
