How can I check that my fax arrived?

In short

After confirmation, a tracking page shows your fax's status live, from the queue right up to delivery on the recipient's machine, or to failure if it does not get through.

For a written record, add the PDF receipts option (one receipt for the request, another for the transmission): €2.99 incl. VAT, charged only on delivery.

Live tracking

As soon as transmission starts, the tracking page shows how your fax is doing and refreshes every 5 seconds. The final result is displayed plainly: delivered, or not completed.

The two PDF receipts

The €2.99 incl. VAT option gives you two documents. The request receipt records that you submitted the send; the transmission receipt records that the recipient's machine took the call. The latter lists, among other things, the sender, the dialled number, the subject, the date and the time.

If the fax is not delivered, the option is not charged. File the transmission receipt alongside the PDF you sent: together, they let you reconstruct the send if anyone disputes it.

What a receipt cannot show

A transmission receipt shows that a call connected to the right number at a precise moment, and that the sheets were taken in by the machine. It does not, however, say who read them, nor does it authenticate their content. When the law demands proof of content, registered mail remains the better fit.

Key points

  • Tracking page updated continuously.
  • Request and transmission receipts in PDF, as an option.
  • €2.99 incl. VAT, charged only on delivery.
  • A receipt proves sending, not reading or content.
