In short
Seven countries are served: Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Only landline fax numbers in those countries are accepted; you pick the country in the form, then type the number in its local format.
The list and the country codes
These are the open destinations, with their codes: Belgium (+32), Canada (+1), France (+33), Germany (+49), Italy (+39), Portugal (+351), Spain (+34). You don't type the code yourself: it follows from the country selected in the form.
Only landlines connected to a fax machine can take a fax. A mobile number, even in one of these seven countries, cannot be reached.
Entering the number in national format
Once the country is chosen, type the number the way a local would: 01 23 45 67 89 for a fax in Paris, a number starting with 0 in Belgium or Germany; in Canada, the three-digit area code followed by the seven local digits. Until the format is right, the form tells you so.
To look up an area code or check a prefix, the FaxTelecom country code directory lists the codes for every destination.
Your country is missing?
A number located elsewhere cannot be handled for now. If you need a destination that is not on the list, write to contact@faxtelecom.com: the requests we receive shape which countries open next.
